Tame Impala Remixes Two Ways

Every now and then I put a little hip-hop/rap on the blog, because I like it (as if I need another reason?), and can’t help but want to share it.

I was listening to the Kendrick Lamar sample of Tame Impala’s Feels Like We Only Go Backwards from the new Divergent movie soundtrack and it reminded me of the remix of Black Skinhead with Elephant, so thought I’d share both for those who maybe like the indie, electronic, surf-rock genre we usually post about, but want to dabble in a little hip-hop. Enjoy!

Hump Day Jam: Tame Impala’s Feels Like We Only Go Backwards

Katie has posted and featured Tame Impala many times on the blog and her show, but I just recently fell in love with their music last month after a friend of mine played their music during a road trip (side note: this is a pretty good setting for listening to their album).

I had no idea who it was when he put it on, I just knew I liked it… (I’m sure I have people who have known this band for years shaking their heads or cringing, but … so what,).  If you’ve heard the song already take another listen and absorb the awesome and if you’re like me and are late to the party (but not in a ‘fashionable way‘) enjoy Feels Like We Only Go Backwards off the album Lonerism.
