#MusicVideoMonday Labour Day Edition: Clive Tanaka y su Orquesta’s Neu Chicago

This seems like a good song and music video to end the long weekend on. I’ll warn you it’s slow to start if you need lyrics, but once the vocals kick in @ 1:40 you’ll fall for it like I did and won’t care about the long intro the second play around.

The lyrics are so damn cute too, reminds me of summer crushes.  The video on the other hand reminds me of some of the weird (but awesome) toys people of the 80s/90s generation grew up with.

I tried to find more info on Clive Tanaka for this post, but I had a heck of a time (I think he may be a shadow?) all I’ve really come up with is that he’s from Japan, has a minimal Twitter account and a bunch of good music I’ve recently started listening to (despite the fact that this song came out in 2011).  Some of it reminds me of the Drive soundtrack, but way more more mellow.  Feel free to show some support for the artist by downloading the entire digital album with this song on it from (what looks like) his label’s Bandcamp page.

Hope everyone had a great long weekend and enjoy the music!
