Dan Deacon’s True Thrush is an adorable game of artistic interpretation. Take a bunch of people, have two enact a scene, let subsequent teams try to interpret it. Result? Lots of fun.
On a related note, I was listening to Passion Pit’s new album Gossamer while reading their widely circulated Pitchfork cover article, and I can’t help thinking that Dan Deacon’s upcoming album America (August 28) is going to be even better than Gossamer. Passion Pit used to be the kings of fizzy electronic music. But Dan’s album has the benefit of not including Bonus Tracks: Hospitalized Lead Singer, Tour Meltdown, and Canceled Tours.
