I Died So I Could Haunt You

Quite a romantic concept really, dying so you can be around someone forever.

I often feel haunted by the presence of people I used to love, especially in the places they used to go; my bed, the couch, the kitchen table, our favourite bar, the hollow of my neck.

That’s probably why I think that the new Stars album is so solid. It’s very romantic and sentimental, all about dying, love, ghosts, memory, and remorse. Musically, it’s fantastic – I can listen to it for a whole afternoon and feel satisfied.

I liked We Don’t Want Your Body so much I included it in the playlist, Lost at Sea.
