Little Joy [mp3]
With muddy vocals reminiscent of Julian Casablancas of The Strokes and sweetly sun-soaked guitar parts, Los Angeles’s Little Joy have definitely got it goin’ on. Let’s not even bring up the fact that they’ve got a sick organ.
The neat thing about Little Joy is that they’ve collab’d with Devendra Banhart (serious indie cred), their drummer is Fabrizio Moretti, and their percussionist/It Girl Binki Shapiro was in Beck’s music video for The Information.
I like them, and you should too. I’m gonna throw some mp3′s at you while I sit here with my feet in the pool and a glass of Spumante Bambino.

Sadly, they haven’t come out with a new record since 2008, so I’ll keep waiting, listening to their ST debut on these hot summer nites.
